Revelation
It is so important that we take time to connect with Jesus and to spend time in the Word. The Revelation of Scripture will take us into an encounter with the very One who can transform us. There are times when we just need to hold fast and trust that the power of the Gospel is enough.
Psalm 51:10-12 says: Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Isaiah 61: 1-4 says: The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendour.
We are living in God’s Grace and we need to surrender and yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit – without whom, we can do nothing.
John 10:27-30 says: My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
This verse describes a depth of relationship where we are known, and we recognise our Lord’s voice and obey. This type of close relationship changes everything – it is heart knowledge not head knowledge.
This kind of relationship requires time and trust. So take the time to remain in the revelation of close relationship!
