About Jesus.
Jesus said many things and much of His words are recorded in the Gospel's and the New Testament. Jesus makes the difference in our lives. The below expresses who Jesus is, why He came and what He says about you!
Who Jesus said He was
Jesus Christ said He is the one and only way to God
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me” (John 14:6)
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life
“Can any one of you convict me of a single misleading word, a single sinful act? But if I'm telling the truth, why don't you believe me?” (John 8:46, The Message).
Jesus Christ had the power to provide everlasting life
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:25).
Jesus Christ had the power to forgive sins
“When Jesus saw their faith, He said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.’” (Luke 5:20).
Jesus Christ predicted his own death and resurrection
“Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, ‘We are going up into Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again’” (Luke 18:31-33).
Jesus Christ said He would come back
"So as the lightening comes from the east and flashes to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man... At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:27-30)
Jesus Christ said He is the true vine
I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me--and I in him--bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing (John 15:1, 5).
Why Jesus came to earth
To find us
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:10)
To bring the Kingdom of God to earth
"The time is fulfilled; and the kingdom of God is at hand". (Mark 1:15). He said, "If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you" (Matthew 12:28)
To bring us truth
"I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:38)
To please and honour His heavenly Father
"‘My food’, said Jesus,‘is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work’." (John 4:34)
To free us from fear
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36)
To serve and GIVE HIS LIFE FOR US
"The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28)
To save us
But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you are saved (Ephesians 2:4-5)
To unite us
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female--for all of you are one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28).
What Jesus says to you
Jesus comes to free us
For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2)
Jesus calls us forgiven
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7)
Jesus calls us friend
I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father (John 15:15)
Jesus calls us His temple
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you (1 Corinthians 6:19)
Jesus asks us to trust him
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1-3)
Jesus asks us to be ready
"You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." (Luke 12:40)
Jesus has made us anew
So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away--look, what is new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Jesus calls us friend
I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father (John 15:15)
Jesus calls us blessed
Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
