Our vision, values and hope
Stirling Kids Church is a place we describe as Christ Centered, Spirit Led and ‘child’ focused.
Our vision is that Children who attend Stirling Kids Church are not hindered in anyway in knowing Jesus more, and learning about His love for them.
Our Kids Church program is designed to support parents and guardians in their calling to teach their children about the Lord.
Our values for Stirling Kids Church include:
AVBA
FAG
GAG
Our hope as the Stirling Kids Church Team is that children will love participating at Stirling Kids, not just because we are friendly and inviting, and not just because our activities are child focused, but because Jesus is glorified and children learn again and again about the love Jesus has for them.
Meet our team

A - We use one of the meeting rooms off the side of the foyer space. The Kids Room connects with our Front Meeting Room and our Church Office, and is easily accessible and visible.
Q - Is food or drink served?
A - While we encourage children to bring their own water bottle, we also ensure water is available. And we serve a small snack for the children most of the time.
Q - What happens when we need to call for a parent during a service?
A - A message is forwarded to the Sunday Coordinator / Media Team to reach a parents. This is achieved either through direct contact, or through flashing a Child Code on the main screen in order to notify parents that they are required.
Q - How do you handle behaviour?
A - Children are encouraged to follow instructions and participate. Activities are engaging and designed to cater for most needs of children. Where a child needs some special attention, there are quieter spaces and activities where they can withdraw to. If a child is behaving unreasonably or inappropriately, a message to a parent is sent in order to check the child out from the program. At that time, or after the service, the Kids Church Coordinator will debrief with the parent (and child as appropriate) in order to better assist the Kids Church Team. Kids Church is not respite care and our while our volunteers are dedicated to love and teach about Jesus, we are not trained professionals and do not pretend to be.
Q - Will my child learn memory verses and bible stories or bring anything home?
A - Depending on the teaching, often there is a take home craft or activity or memory verse which parents can engage with their children and ask them what they learnt during Kids Church.
Q - How can I reinforce during the week what was taught at Stirling Kids?
A - The easiest way to reinforce learning is to ask your child what they heard and did and learnt, and support their understanding and learning with your own teaching of the Bible, and encouragements.
Q - How can my child reach after they have gone to their Stirling Kids activity?
A - If you need to reach your child after they are moved out to Kids Church, please make your way to the Kids Church area and knock on the door, and a Kids Church Team Member will attend to you.

Check-in Processes
Family Service
During a family service, children remain under the supervision care of there parent/carer. If children are inivited to participate in any way, this is done under the direct care and supervision of the parent/carer. Such activities are conducted in public as part of our worship service.
Stirling Kids Sunday Program
After a time of Worship and Communion, primary school aged children will be invited to head out to Stirling Kids. The check-in process therefore entails:
Children already registered are automatically check in upon leaving your care.
Check in is managed by Elvanto, which records the time they were checked in and checked out.
Children who are not registered will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer to check in.
First time children who attend are welcome to attend with their parent/carer in order to see the activity and settle their child. After this first time, we ask that parents and carers return to the auditorium, in order to help us manage child safety requirements and focus on managing the activities of the group.
After the service, parents are invited to check out their child.
During the service, should a parent/carer be required to attend their child, notification will be given through the main screen in the auditorium, and if required, a parent/carer will be contacted on their mobile phone.
