Relationship

As we head into June it is a time to be reminded of the wonderful relationship we have with Our Father through Holy Spirit.  We are never left alone but can rely on the fact that he goes before us. We don’t have to try everything in our own strength first before calling out in desperation when nothing seems to be going right. He wants that ongoing continual relationship with us and when we don’t involve him in our lives it does make me wonder how this must make him feel. After all he gave his beloved Son Jesus so that we could have just such a relationship. We can boldly enter the throne room Knowing that we are sons and daughters of the Living God. Jesus gave his life for our redemption and restoration so that we could embrace an abundant life such as this.

Acts 2:1-4 – "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."

Acts 2:38 – "Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’"

Acts 2:17 – "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."

John 14:26 – "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

Pentecost Sunday is a powerful reminder of renewal, divine strength, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We can be filled with the fire of faith, the peace that surpasses understanding, and the courage to walk boldly in our calling. We should all be inspired to embrace the gifts God has placed in our life and step forward with joy and purpose.
