Resurrection Life

Living the resurrection life, we are called to be Holy, to live a godly life. Some days this seems like an impossible task, yet he is with us in the very detail of our lives that can trip us up. Tune your hearts to God, he speaks to us through his word.

In John the words “truly truly” are said 25 times he is really wanting to tell us something important – we should listen, really pay attention. We need to let God sift our desires and requests and rest in his promises. If we fill our minds with God’s truth then we can wait for his Peace which will surely follow. Peace is God’s Umpire in our lives given to us by Holy Spirit – Listen to his guidance.

Protect your heart and be careful what you let into your mind. The process of Sanctification is ongoing and he is faithful and merciful. "He is Risen… “This is a declaration that death has been defeated, hope is alive, and God’s promises are true. As you walk forward in the light of the Resurrection, remember: Resurrection isn’t just an event that we celebrate once a year at Easter, it is a daily reality for those of us who are born of the spirit and have come alive in Christ.

For us, it is now how we live our lives. With hope in our hearts, we have the confident expectation of what God has promised and the Power and Strength in his faithfulness.

1. You are forgiven. Whatever the past holds, the cross has covered it.

"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace." — Ephesians 1:7

2. You are empowered. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

"And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you." — Romans 8:11

3. You are not alone. Christ walks with you, every step of the way.

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." — Matthew 28:20

4. You have a purpose. Just as Jesus sent the disciples, so he sends us.

"As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." — John 20:21

5. You Have Hope. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." — 1 Peter 1:3
